In August 2023, Binance founder CZ ran a #BinanceCat contest on X, reposting fan photos of their cats wearing tiny hard hats. One submission — a cat clutching an "I ❤ BNB" sign — got called out by name. That thread is the whole lore: $BNBCAT is the community's answer, built for every cat that ever repped the chain.
